Eckler has appointed Nick Gubbay as a senior consultant in its group benefits practice.
Gubbay, who will be based in the consultancy’s Vancouver offices, spent 12 years with an international consulting firm where he was a partner and chief actuary of its health and benefits business in Canada. Before that, he worked for 13 years in the benefits consulting field and life insurance industries in South Africa.

In his new role, Gubbay will assist public and private sector clients with the design and funding of employee benefit plans, and in the evaluation of liabilities associated with non-pension post-retirement and post-employment benefits.
His experience also includes consulting to benefit trusts on a variety of benefit-related issues, providing clients with benchmarking studies, and facilitating the design and implementation of the resulting improved programs.
