Harris, Humber form development partnership

Vancouver-based law firm Harris & Company LLP and the Humber Centre for Employee Benefits (HCEB) have formed a strategic partnership to bring a wide variety of pension and benefits professional development courses to British Columbians.

“I am excited about the potential that our partnership with Harris can offer for both parties,” says Ted Patterson, HCEB’s director. “Having an experienced local partner like Harris will allow us to more effectively address the unique pension, benefits and trustee training needs in B.C. and offer cost-effective local training opportunities to a much wider audience in Western Canada.”

The Harris/Humber training will be multi-day professional development courses developed by Humber and taught by experienced industry professionals.

The initial courses offer training and skills development in four distinct areas: pension plan administration; pension and health and welfare trustee development; First Nation pension plan governance; and capital accumulation plans.
