Matt Cassel received $58.73 performance bonus

Though most NFL players earn six-figure paycheques, the league’s performance-based pay data is being distributed this week, and one pass awarded by the Bills for the 2015 season is the lowest amount given to a single player.

According to an article on ESPN, quarterback Matt Cassel was awarded $58.73 in performance-based pay by the Buffalo Bills for the 2015 season, the lowest amount given to one player of any team, according to data distributed Monday by the NFL.

He technically started in Week 1 for the Bills against the Colts, though was traded after Week 2 to the Dallas Cowboys, where he made nine appearances.

The ESPN article explains that performance-based pay is granted after every season and awards the most to players who played the highest number of snaps for the lowest salaries.
