Brandon Gill New is a director in the capital markets group at the OPSEU Pension Trust, one of Canada's largest defined benefit pension plans. She provides strategic direction and oversight of the plan's portfolio of externally managed public market investments, representing roughly 20 per cent of total assets under management.

Prior to joining the OPTrust in early 2018, Gill New was a director at BMO Capital Partners, a proprietary private debt and equity fund at the Bank of Montreal. She also spent a decade at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan where she was a portfolio manager in the alternative investments division managing a portfolio of global hedge funds and esoteric investment funds. She was also an assistant portfolio manager in the public equities division covering direct emerging markets equities.

Gill New has a master’s of business administration from London Business School and a bachelor of arts degree in international economics from Middlebury College.
