Caisse to invest $18M in entertainment company

Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec is investing $18 million to support the creation of a new entity launched by Moment Factory, an internationally recognized entertainment company based in Montréal.

The new entity, which will be dedicated to permanent multimedia infrastructure projects, will be setting up its projects in large public spaces, such as airports, arenas, casinos and shopping centres.

“This partnership will allow Moment Factory to move forward with its global growth plan and captivate even more audiences with its creative projects,” said Christian Dubé, Caisse’s executive vice-president, Québec.

“With la Caisse’s investment, we will be able to propose integrated and permanent multimedia solutions worldwide,” added Éric Fournier, partner and executive producer of Moment Factory.

To date, Moment Factory, which has 150 employees, has created more than 350 shows and destinations worldwide for high-profile clients, including Cirque du Soleil, Nine Inch Nails, Madonna, Disney, Microsoft, Sony, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, and Los Angeles International Airport.
