CIBC Mellon’s Linds plans to retire

CIBC Mellon’s David Linds will be retiring from his role as senior vice-president, business development and relationship management on July 1.

He’s been with CIBC Mellon since inception, and has led the company’s sales and relationship management functions for more than a decade.

“A leader throughout CIBC Mellon’s history, David Linds helped grow the company to more than $1.5 trillion of client assets under administration from $100 billion over the past 16 years,” says CIBC Mellon president and CEO Tom Monahan.

The company also announced that Rob Ferguson has been appointed senior vice-president, capital markets, business development and relationship management and that Richard Anton has been appointed senior vice-president and chief operations officer. Both appointments are effective July 1.

In his newly created role, Ferguson will take on overall responsibility for building and strengthening CIBC Mellon’s relationships with clients across the asset servicing spectrum. He has 25 years of industry experience, having joined CIBC Mellon at the company’s inception in 1996.

And Anton will continue to lead CIBC Mellon’s client service delivery teams, while also taking on responsibility for the company’s corporate project office, product management and centralized client administration functions. He joined the company in 2014 and has nearly 20 years of financial industry experience.
