Cigna appoints global chief data and analytics officer

Cigna Corp. has appointed Gina Papush to the newly created role of global chief data and analytics officer.

“As our industry evolves, embedding insights and analytics across the enterprise will enhance Cigna’s ability to more rapidly deliver simplified, affordable, personalized and integrated experiences for our customers and clients,” said Chris Hocevar, president of strategy, segments and solutions, in a press release.

“Gina will be an invaluable thought partner to the executive leadership team — enabling Cigna to better leverage insights to guide decision-making, leapfrog innovation, more proactively address stakeholder needs and drive positive health outcomes in the future.”

Prior to the new role, Papush was global chief data and analytics officer at QBE Insurance Group Ltd. Previous roles include head of decision management for global and North American mortgages and head of decision management for North American home equities at Citigroup Inc., and head of customer analytics and marketing services at Fulcrum Analytics Inc.
