Many insurance providers need to strengthen their cyber security measures, reports Canadian Insurance Top Broker.
A New York Department of Financial Services report notes that while nearly all companies surveyed have an information security framework in place and use security technologies and penetration testing, 16% don’t participate in information sharing organizations or audit third-party service providers.

It also reveals only 14% of CEOs receive monthly briefings on cyber security.
The report was released shortly after U.S. health insurer Anthem said it was the victim of a “very sophisticated” external cyber attack.
