Manulife Asset Management has promoted Michael Reid to the newly created role of senior strategist, pension solutions, within the firm’s investment solutions team, effective June 15.
He’s responsible for working directly with Canadian plan sponsors to develop custom investment and risk management strategies.
Reid is a trained actuary with more than 14 years of experience.
Most recently he headed up Manulife’s global pension group where he was responsible for all governance oversight of the company’s own DB and DC plans. Before joining Manulife, he worked for Mercer and Towers Perrin in various consulting roles.
