Mercer Canada has appointed Bernard Mercier as partner and wealth business leader for its Vancouver division.
In the new role, he’ll be responsible for service offerings as well as leading the pension and investment team.
With more than 30 years of experience in retirement consulting, business development and leadership, Mercier has expertise directing pension plan design projects, as well as plan and corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He moves to Mercer after nearly 34 years in retirement consulting at Willis Towers Watson.
“As the Canadian retirement planning landscape continues to evolve, moving the dial on how Canadians can achieve their financial goals and improve retirement outcomes remains a focus for Mercer,” said Jean-Philippe Provost, senior partner and wealth business leader for Mercer Canada, in a press release. “Bernard’s breadth of experience in the retirement and investment space will be a huge asset as we strive to enhance financial security for life for our clients and their employees.”
