The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) has developed a course for Ontario small business owners, managers and entrepreneurs on best practices for finding, motivating, managing and compensating the staff they need.
The course consists of eight, two-hour live sessions, available online or at the HRPA’s learning centre in Toronto.
There are sessions on a variety of topics. Examples include the role of HR and why it’s key for small business, the sourcing and selection of staff, integrating new hires and conducting motivating performance reviews.
Participants are required to complete five of the eight sessions at a minimum to obtain a certificate.
