The Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System Sponsors Corp. has appointed Paul Harrietha as chief executive officer.
In the new role, Harrietha is responsible for providing executive leadership and direction to the employees of the OMERS SC, as well as helping the SC board deliver on its responsibilities to plan design, contributions, stabilization reserves, sponsor and stakeholder relations, and board composition.
Harrietha joins OMERS SC with more than 25 years of pension and leadership experience. Most recently, he was a shareholder principal and head of the comunications and engagement practice at Eckler Ltd. Previous roles include chairman at Abelica Global; Western Canadian practice leader at Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson); and a principal and national communications practice leader at Buck Consultants (now Conduent HR Services).
