Mike Parsons has joined BNY Mellon Investment Management as vice-president, senior institutional sales.
Based in Toronto, he will be responsible for growing the investment management business to institutional clients in the Canadian market.
“This new position points to the great momentum we’ve experienced in Canada to date and underscores BNY Mellon’s commitment to the Canadian marketplace in the future,” says Richard Terres, managing director and head of BNY Mellon Investment Management’s U.S. corporate, endowment and foundations, and Canada groups.
Parsons has more than 20 years of experience working with Canadian plan sponsors, consultants and sub-advisors.
He was most recently with Brandes Investment Partners where he was responsible for the company’s institutional business in Canada. Prior to joining Brandes, Parsons was responsible for sales and client service with AllianceBernstein in Canada.
