Pyramis appoints new CIO

Pyramis Global Advisors has appointed Pam Holding as its new chief investment officer, replacing Young Chin.

Chin, who built the Pyramis investment organization as CIO since its founding in 2006, approached Mike Jones, president and CEO of Pyramis earlier this year and told him of his intention to retire at year’s end.

“We are grateful for all that Young achieved while at Pyramis,” according to a statement from Pyramis. “His contributions have been recognized not only by us, but also by the industry.”

Holding, who joined the company in January as head of portfolio management, will take on the CIO role at the beginning of 2014.

Prior to joining Pyramis, she worked at Putnam Investments and Kemper Financial Services.
