The Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada has appointed five vice-presidents to the company’s senior management team.

  • Bruce Williams, vice-president, corporate strategy and development, recently joined Standard Life to lead corporate development for Canadian initiatives, such as joint ventures, alliances, partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Anouk Hébert, vice-president, group insurance, customer experience, is responsible for the delivery of health and absence management services across Canada. Hébert also manages delivery of the company’s group insurance claims services.
  • Christiane Vachon, vice-president, compliance and financial crime, and privacy officer, previously worked in private practice and as in-house counsel in Montreal and Toronto focusing on legal affairs, compliance, privacy and anti-money laundering for financial institutions and securities dealers.
  • Ingrid Gendreau, vice-president, legal affairs, joined Standard Life as associate general counsel in 2009 specializing in contracts, reinsurance and real estate. She recently assumed additional responsibility for legal services related to products, litigation and claims.
  • Annie Pelchat, vice-president, total rewards and HR operations, is responsible for compensation, pension, group benefits, including health and wellness initiatives, as well as payroll and HR information systems.
