Why you shouldn’t force employees to take vacation time

Ontario’s Employment Standards Act dictates that employees are entitled to a minimum of two weeks of vacation per year, which that employee can forgo, if their employer allows it.

However, employers in the province are within their rights to force employees to take that vacation time.

But mandatory time off doesn’t do workers any good, says a new article published on CanadianBusiness.com, and employers might just get better results through greater flexibility.
