N.S. Pension Services Corp. appoints interim president and CEO

The Nova Scotia Pension Services Corp. has appointed Doug Moodie as interim president and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 28. Steven Wolff, current president and chief executive officer, is leaving to join CIBC Mellon.

Moodie is a member of the Pension Services Corp.’s board and a senior solicitor with the legal services division of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice. According to a press release, he was a key member in the working group that restructured the governance framework and funding policy of the public service superannuation plan in 2012.

“I am looking forward to building on the extensive work Pension Services Corp. has done with [Wolff] as its lead,” said Moodie in a release. “I am confident in the abilities of the people at Pension Services Corp. and look forward to working together in pursuing the organization’s strategic objectives of providing high-quality plan member services and investment administration.”

Pension Services Corp.’s board of directors plans to initiate a national search for its permanent president and chief executive officer.
