Canadians lacking confidence in CPP

Nearly half of all Canadians have little or no confidence in the future of the Canada Pension Plan, reports CTV News.

According to a Nanos Research survey conducted for CTV News and The Globe and Mail, 48% of those surveyed said they were either “somewhat not confident” or “not confident” in the CPP (or the Quebec Pension Plan, for the Quebec sample). That’s up from 41% in a 2010 Nanos survey.

The survey also revealed that 47% of Canadians are lacking confidence in their company pension plans, with more than 60% saying they feel their company plans will be reduced in the future.
