The deadline for filing amendments with respect to British Columbia’s Pension Benefits Standards Act (PBSA) has been extended by three months.
Pension plan amendments required to comply with the legislation were to be filed with the Superintendent of Pensions by December 31, 2015, but the extra three months will provide until March 31, 2016.
Similarly, the deadline for having a funding policy (benefit formula provisions), a participation agreement (non-collectively bargained multi-employer plans), and a governance policy in place is also granted the three-month extension.
