Northern Trust has announced that Arti Sharma has joined the head of its operations in the Canadian market.
Sharma joins Northern Trust from Mercer, where she was a principal and custody practice leader and responsible for business development for Mercer Sentinel services.
“We’ve experienced significant growth and success in Canada, and under Arti Sharma’s leadership, we will continue to build on that momentum,” said Northern Trust chairman and CEO Frederick H. Waddell. “Arti has an accomplished history of business growth and building strong client relationships, and we are thrilled to have her join Northern Trust.”
Sharma also worked at Thomas Murray North America, where she was the first regional head for North America as part of the organization’s global expansion. Before joining Thomas Murray, she worked at CIBC Mellon in executive management and sales positions.
