The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) is shuffling its management team with the chief financial officer and chief operations officer exchanging roles.
Benita Warmbold will take on the role of senior vice-president and chief financial officer, responsible for all finance functions. She replaces Nick Zelenczuk.
Zelenczuk will assume her role as senior vice-president and chief operations officer, responsible for operations, technology and planning functions.
Also, Mark Machin will take on the new role of senior vice-president and head of international, responsible for co-ordinating all of the CPPIB’s international investment activities and management of its global advisory relationships. He will continue in his role as president, CPPIB Asia.
And Alain Carrier will assume the role of managing director and head of Europe, with responsibilities for leading and co-ordinating the activities of the CPPIB in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was most recently managing director – Europe and global head of infrastructure, private investments.
The changes are effective at the beginning of December.
