Migrating the HR claims process from a paper-based environment to an automated solution can help organizations streamline processes and increase efficiency. But organizations need solutions that work for their unique needs.

Shirley Powell, manager, HR planning, systems and rewards, with Toronto Hydro Corp., says the organization is currently seeking a solution to help front-line supervisors who are often so consumed with day-to-day work that the paper-based job of processing workers’ compensation and disability claims can be an overwhelming task.

“Right now, we’re just trying to find the best solution in terms of automated forms, but also something that can connect to their hand-held devices that they use within the field. So, it’s looking at some sort of solution that’s compatible for both.”
