Fidelity Investments Canada has announced that effective March 31, 2012, Young Chin, chief investment officer of Pyramis Global Advisors, will assume leadership of the Pyramis global sector portfolio management team.
The team currently manages the Fidelity American Disciplined Equity Fund, Fidelity Growth America Fund, Fidelity Global Large Cap Fund, the U.S. subportfolios of Fidelity Global Disciplined Equity Fund and Fidelity Global Opportunities Fund, Fidelity U.S. Equity Investment Trust and Fidelity U.S. Small/Mid Cap Equity Investment Trust.
Chin assumes leadership from current team leader and portfolio manager, John Power.
Chin joined Pyramis in 2006 and oversees the firm’s portfolio management, research, and trading functions. Previously, he served as president and chief executive officer, Gartmore Global Investments, and co-global chief investment officer-equities, Gartmore Group, in Conshohocken, PA.
