McInnes Cooper names Hugh Wright chief executive officer

Law firm McInnes Cooper has appointed Hugh Wright as its new managing partner and chief executive officer for a three-year term that begins Sept. 1, 2016.

Wright, who has led the firm’s pensions and benefits practice group for many years, is a previous member of McInnes Cooper’s board of directors and previously led the Halifax Litigation Group. He is also chair of the board of directors of the Association of Canadian Pension Management and is a director of the Canadian Bar Insurance Association.

Wright will continue to maintain a pensions and benefits practice, while taking on the new role.
