Ontario Teachers’ announces Copenhagen airport deal

The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has announced a transaction involving a stake in the Copenhagen international airport.

On Wednesday, Ontario Teachers’ announced a deal to acquire the Macquarie European infrastructure fund’s stake in Kastrup Airport Parents, a holding company that indirectly holds a 57.7 per cent ownership in the airport. The Danish state will continue to own a 39.2 per cent stake, according to The Canadian Press.

Danish pension plan ATP will finance the estimated $2.1-billion transaction. Ontario Teachers’ acquired its current stake in the airport in 2011.
