The British Columbia Investment Management Corp. is appointing Jon Salon as executive vice-president and global head of private equity, effective Feb. 2, 2026.
Salon first joined the BCI’s private equity team in 2024 as senior managing director and global head of health care. He succeeds Jim Pittman, who has led the program since 2016 and is leaving the investment organization at the end of January.

“With nearly three decades of investment and operational experience, [Salon] brings the vision, discipline, and track record to advance BCI Private Equity’s strategy and continue delivering long-term value for our clients,” said Gordon J. Fyfe, chief executive officer and chief investment officer at the investment organization, in a press release.
