The TTC Pension Plan is appointing Danny Ip as its first director of investment risk and analytics.
In the newly created role, Ip is responsible for solidifying the defined benefit plan’s investment risk and analytics functions. He’ll lead the creation of clear and consistent investment risk reporting processes and deliver regular performance and analytical reports, according to a press release, which noted he’ll also be responsible for performance attribution, leverage and ensuring the plan’s liquidity.
Most recently, Ip, a chartered financial analyst, was a cost and scheduling analyst for Ontario Power Generation. Earlier in his career, he was a senior advisor to the Hydro One Ltd. pension plan.
“I’m very excited about taking on new challenges at the TTC pension plan,” he said. “I hope my knowledge and experience can help the plan continue to grow in a sustainable manner.”
