GreenShield Canada is acquiring Kii Health’s Canadian mental-health services segment.
The acquisition encompasses Kii’s employee assistance program, student assistance program, cognitive behavioural therapy associates and internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy services.
In addition to expanding its mental-health offerings, GreenShield will also expand its national footprint through the acquisition, with notable growth in Western Canada and Quebec, according to a press release.
“This acquisition marks an important step forward in GreenShield’s integrated coverage and care strategy,” said Zahid Salman, president and chief executive officer of GreenShield, in a press release. ”It strengthens our leadership in mental health, advances innovation in care delivery, and enhances our ability to provide comprehensive, connected support to Canadians nationwide.”
