Franklin Templeton appoints new SVP of institutional investing for Canada

Franklin Templeton Canada is appointing Andrew Forsyth as senior vice-president of institutional investment services.

“We are excited to have Andrew on board to deepen our client relationships in the institutional space, while continuing to serve his current clients,” said Bill Tsotsos, head of institutional investments for Franklin Templeton, in a press release.

With nearly three decades of financial industry experience, Forsyth joins the Franklin Templeton team from Brandywine Global Investment Management in Canada, where he was managing director for more than six years. Previously, he was senior vice-president of business development and client service at the Pacific Investment Management Co. for almost nine years. 

In July 2020, Franklin Templeton acquired Legg Mason Investor Services and its specialist investment managers, including Brandywine Global, Western Asset Management Co. and Clearbridge Investments.
