Morneau Shepell, Co-operators partner on new EAP product

The Co-operators Group Ltd. and Morneau Shepell Ltd. have partnered on a new employee and family assistance program that will be available to the Co-operators’ group benefits clients.

Called Here4You, the program offers a host of services, including financial literacy support and help with caring for aging parents, according to a press release from the Co-operators. New services include supports related to nutrition, health coaching and stress management.

“We recognize that employees have a wide variety of reasons to use an EFAP program, including concerns related to legal, caregiving, finances, physical fitness and mental health,” said Conor Quinn, vice-president of group benefits at the Co-operators.

“By partnering with Morneau Shepell, a well-respected service provider with innovative treatment modalities and access to top-shelf professionals, we can ensure our clients are being offered the best expertise in the country.”

Morneau Shepell purchased the Co-operators’ former employee assistance provider, Solareh International Inc., in December 2016. “When Solareh was purchased, we considered our options carefully, and given Morneau Shepell’s reputation as a leading provider, we determined they were the best choice for our clients,” said Leonard Sharman, senior communications advisor at the Co-operators.

“Morneau Shepell is very pleased to be expanding our partnership with the Co-operators,” said Rita Fridella, executive vice-president and general manager of employee support solutions at Morneau Shepell.

“With increasing workplace and personal stress, the Here4You program provides a wide range of counselling resources and tools to assist plan members with the challenges they face in their lives. By supporting their employees, plan sponsors will be helping their employees improve their lives.”
