Ontario Teachers’ adds two new managing directors

The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has promoted Mary Cover to managing director of pension strategy and enterprise risk and Marc Dupont to managing director of government and public affairs.

In the new role, Cover will work closely with the fund’s plan sponsors and many external groups to help ensure the pension plan’s sustainability. She is also responsible for oversight of enterprise and operational risk management. Cover joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2013 as director of actuarial services in the member services division. She became director of pension strategy and enterprise risk in the strategy and risk division in 2016.

Dupont joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2014 to establish a government and regulatory affairs strategy and capability.  In his new role, he will further develop this strategy and liaise with governments around the world. Dupont is also a lawyer and an adjunct professor of the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs.
