BRICs fall out of favour

The bullishness surrounding all of the BRIC countries—Brazil, Russia, India and China—is crumbling, reports Maclean’s.

Goldman Sachs economist Jim O’Neill, the one who came up with the acronym, says Brazil and Russia are at risk of losing their membership as their economies have sputtered.

He’s quoted as saying, “I might be tempted to call it just IC.”
