iA Financial Group has appointed Denis Ricard as chief operating officer.
In the new role, Ricard assumes full responsibility for all of the organization’s group and individual insurance operations in both Canada and the United States. These activities cover group benefits and retirement services, individual insurance and annuities, and special market risks. He’ll also be responsible for leading the company’s digital transformation strategy.

Ricard has been with iA Financial Group for 32 years, notes Yvon Charest, the company’s president and chief executive officer. “Having risen through the ranks through mobility within the organization and exposure to both corporate and operating functions, Denis has a well-rounded perspective that will be instrumental in his role as chief operating officer.
“On behalf of the board of directors and the senior management team, I thank Denis for accepting this new challenge and wish him great success on the road ahead.”
Ricard’s previous roles at iA Financial Group include: executive vice-president of individual insurance and annuities; executive vice-president of business development; and senior vice-president and chief actuary.
