Marsh and McLennan Companies Inc. has named Mercer Canada chief executive officer Louis Gagnon as country corporate officer for Canada.
The officers are aligned to 36 areas across the globe, providing leadership and collaborating with other local leaders with an aim of strengthening Marsh and McLennan’s position in the marketplace, according to a news release.

In his new role, Gagnon will report to chairman Alex Moczarski, while still maintaining his current position as chief executive officer of Mercer Canada.
“Louis’ leadership and demonstrated record of fostering innovation at Mercer will help us harness the expertise inherent in all four of our businesses in Canada,” said Alex Moczarski, chairman of Marsh and McLennan Companies, in the release. “In doing so, we will be able to deliver even greater value to our clients by helping them address their most complex business challenges.
