BlackRock has appointed Marcia Moffat as head of its Canadian business.
She will be joining BlackRock from her role as founder and principal at Compasar Solutions, a management consulting firm, in September.
“The appointment follows a previous announcement that Noel Archard would be transitioning out of his role as head of BlackRock Canada,” says a statement from the company.

Moffat has more than 15 years of industry experience and spent 12 years with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).
While at RBC, she led the retail banking division, was head of its investor relations team and worked as an investment banker.
She began her career as a corporate lawyer in the New York and Paris offices of Shearman & Sterling.
