The Public Service Alliance of Canada has reached a tentative agreement for more than 700 civilian members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police working in operational and administrative roles.
The deal introduces a 37.5-hour workweek and adds two personal leave days each year, plus two additional leave days for the 2024/25 fiscal year. Members will also receive a one-time leave bonus of 77.5 hours, which won’t be subject to carry-over limits.

In other news, First Student bus drivers in Durham Region, Ont. have ratified a new three-year contract. The agreement includes a 13 per cent wage increase and establishes a racial justice advocate role to support equity initiatives.
It also introduces up to $600 in paid education leave per year and maintains a $250 annual health-care spending account, with a one-time carry-over option during the contract term.
