Morneau Shepell acquires Montreal-based EAP provider

Morneau Shepell Ltd. has acquired Solareh, a national health and wellness services provider based in Montreal that offers employee assistance programs.

The acquisition represents less than two per cent of Morneau Shepell’s revenue and is not expected to significantly impact the company’s financial performance, according to a news release, which noted the move will grow Morneau Shepell’s presence by allowing it to expand its services in Quebec.

“Solareh offers services that support a successful recovery and return to work, wellness and training programs, as well as EFAPs,” said Julien Ponce, executive vice president of Eastern Canada and national leader of the consulting practice at Morneau Shepell.

“The acquisition will leverage the skills, knowledge and experience of both the Morneau Shepell and Solareh teams to promote effective and efficient clinical best practices in EFAPs, absence management and other health and wellness services for our clients.”
