Mercer appoints Canadian health business leader

Mercer Canada has appointed Julie Duchesne as Canadian health business leader.

Prior to the new role, Duchesne was leading the global consultancy firm’s health business in Quebec. She has extensive experience in group benefits consulting and has worked at Mercer for 20 years.

“Julie has already made a significant contribution to the expansion of the health business through her vision, consulting expertise and team leadership,” said Louis Gagnon, senior partner and chief executive officer at Mercer Canada, in a news release. “Her insights and strategic thinking will continue to be an asset to our team as we look to best serve our clients in the evolving health-care market.”

Duchesne is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and has served in the Canadian Pension and Benefits Council’s executive committee for over three years.
