The Alberta Investment Management Corp. is appointing Krista Pell as its chief human resources officer.

In the new role, Pell will lead the AIMCo’s HR functions, which will involve advancing its global recruitment strategy to attract and retain top talent, according to a press release. She’s also responsible for supporting the institutional investor’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and targets.

“Krista brings an energy and vision for our people strategy that I know will make AIMCo a place where the very best come to find their purpose and reach their highest potential,” said Evan Siddall, chief executive officer at the AIMCo, in the release.

Pell most recently served as the vice-president of HR at Cenovus Energy Inc. Prior to that, she was the vice-president of people and performance at Ausenco Ltd.
